Breastfeeding

As a WIC participant you are eligible to receive breastfeeding support and information from the Peer Counseling Program

The Peer Counselors Program:

• Gets you off to a good start
• Offers education and support for a successful initiation and continuation of
      breastfeeding
• Provides high quality information on breastfeeding and access to a lactation consultant
• Ensures that breastfeeding mothers have access to comprehensive, up to date and
      culturally tailored lactation services
• Helps mothers achieve their own personal breastfeeding goals
